My family has been traditionally engaged in agriculture & tea planting over the last six decades with emphasis on sustainable & organic practices. This led me to pursue a UG in Horticulture and complete a PG in Ecotourism. Having grown up in the lap of nature it was but natural that I wanted to realize my childhood dream of having a zero-waste, sustainable home-stay in the Nilgiri Hills and hence Prakritilaya - meaning “To Dissolve in Nature”.

We found a heritage bungalow built in 1905 amidst tea plantations & natural surroundings, near Kotagiri - a quaint hill town located at an altitude of over 6,000 feet, in the Niligiri Hills of the Western Ghats. After renovating and refurbishing the bungalow, while retaining the old-world charm, we now offer you a rejuvenating stay amidst nature and your participation in our journey towards sustainability and zero-waste.
