A guided visit to the tea factory will help you understand, in detail, how the harvested tea leaves are processed to give you the refreshing cup of tea at your home.
Nature Walk

For those of you who look at these trees as a beauty to the eyes it will be an eye opener after the walk. On this walk our naturalist will be explaining about the impacts of invasive species on native bio diversity.
Bio-Diversity Walk
The Bio-Diversity is for those who are prepared to walk the extra mile. An adventurous early morning walk, starting at 6.30 am in the morning which will take you through small streams & other eco-systems around Prakritilaya. The exciting part about this walk is that you will be walking for about 30 mins through a dense Shola Jungle where our naturalist will be explaining about the importance of Native Sholas and Grasslands of the Western Ghats. Once we walk past the Sholas, we will be entering a small labour settlement which is an excellent opportunity to meet and interact with the estate workers and their children.
The exciting part is not over yet! We will be carrying packed breakfast, fruits and some hot garden-fresh masala chai with us on the walk. Once we cross the labour settlement, we will climb up a small hill and reach a cliff where we will have our breakfast with a splendid view of the sholas tucked in the valley below us. The walk then continues through eucalyptus & wattle plantations all the way back to Prakritilaya.

Hand's on Gardening
“Gardening adds years to your life, and life to your years”
At Prakritilaya, we maintain an organic vegetable and flower garden. Some of the vegetables & herbs used in our kitchen comes straight from our garden to your plates.
Hands on gardening is offered as a complimentary activity for all our guests, especially children.
Let your children have fun by taking part in our daily garden work along with our gardener. This will help them get closer to Nature and connects them to Mother Earth, by getting their hands soiled. It will also encourage them to eat healthy.
